Accounting and Bookkeeping for Small Businesses

Financial Checkup - $250- In-depth session to discuss bookkeeping and accounting needs, tax return overview/analysis, retirement plan, human resources, payroll, insurance policies, accounting software needs analysis, personal accounting needs and tax planning.

QuickBooks Installation and Setup - $495 plus cost of software* - Includes installation of software, setup of one company file, establishment of chart of accounts (bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card accounts, equity accounts, income and expense accounts, etc.) and customization of preference items. *QB Pro 2003 - PC version - Single-user site license - $255

QuickBooks Cleanup - $395 - Analysis of company file, chart of accounts and preference items. For companies that already have QuickBooks installed on their computers.

QuickBooks Tutorial - $595 - Soup-to-nuts tutorial covering banking (deposits, withdrawals, bank reconciliation), creating and paying invoices, entering and paying bills, payroll setup and processing, recording credit card transactions, creating new accounts, generating financial reports and graphs, and backup and restoration of data files. (Does not include annual basic payroll subscription of $200 paid directly to QuickBooks)

QuickBooks Quarterly Analysis - $995 (annual subscription), $395 (quarterly subscription) - Periodic analysis and adjustment of chart of accounts, recording of journal entries and reclassification of general ledger transactions.

Bookkeeping/Accounting Services - $595/month - Entry of up to 100 cash receipts and/or cash disbursements (for example, analyzing 2 credit card statements with a total of 50 transactions, maintaining fixed asset and depreciation schedules of up to 50 assets, reconciling 2 bank statements with up to 100 transactions, recording journal entries, paying up to 25 bills from vendors and invoicing 25 customers).

Bank Statement Reconciliation - $125/month (per bank account with up to 50 transactions) - Reconciliation of monthly bank statement to company's books and records.

Income Tax Preparation - $1,500 - Preparation of small business returns (corporations, partnerships & LLCs) - Preparation of federal, one state and one city tax return plus review of prior year's tax returns and preparation of tax related work papers. Company must provide adjusted balance sheet, income statement and other reports as needed.

Payroll Tax Processing - $100/month - Preparation of payroll tax deposits, filings and quarterly payroll tax returns for up to 5 employees.

Year-end W-2s & 1099s - $25 per form (minimum $200) - Preparation of year-end W-2s for employees & 1099s for consultants and reconciliation of reports to the client's records.

Sales Tax Reporting - $125 per return - Preparation of monthly or quarterly state sales tax returns from appropriate schedules prepared by client plus review of company's schedules for reasonableness.

Tax Planning & Estimated Tax Payments (quarterly/annually) - $395 per projection - Preparation of tax projection to determine tax liability.
